My family recently came to visit and they requested to see Trinity Church (built in 1697), so we went.
The church itself is beautiful, but what caught my eye this day was the graveyard. I've always been intrigued by this grave yard. I tend to spend equal time between the church as the graveyard, but I had never experienced it with snow, which was beautiful!
On another note the people buried here are fascinating; two notable burials are John Jacob Astor (of the Astor family in NYC - Astor Place for instance) and Alexander Hamilton (Who was in the Continental Army with George Washington + the first Secretary of the Treasury).
I often wonder what these people under my feet were like, where the lived, how they died...
